Our Approach To Care
We’re committed to delivering an exceptional standard of care
Initial Assessment: First things First!
At U in Mind Care, we believe that exceptional care goes beyond meeting physical needs; it encompasses nurturing the mind, body, and spirit. Founded on the principles of compassion, dignity, and respect, we are dedicated to providing personalised care services that prioritise the well-being and individuality of each person we serve.
Initial Assessment: The first step is to arrange to visit you in your own home or any place where you reside. We will have a meeting with you and/or family to discuss your likes and dislikes, what you can and cannot do, explore your potentials and motivation to help re-learn daily living skills. We will set agreed goals and create a Care and Support plan, which shows the steps all participating parties will take to meet your identified needs.

1. Where mental capacity is a consideration in care provision, or where communication is difficult, we will explore all possible professional ways of getting your voice heard which may include, with your consent, seeking the views of your family and any professionals working with you to have a better understanding of your needs.
2. All records regarding Service Users and any the assessment(s) completed will be shared with you and our written records will be available to you at any time.
3. The type of Care Package and amount of time required is discussed during initial assessment visit. We will agree on your chosen visiting support times, the length of visit and all will be tailored around your individual needs.
Our Approach
What happens if a service user lacks mental capacity to make decisions?
If a Service User lacks mental capacity, their family or Advocates are consulted about their care to ensure their best interests are at the centre of our approach, with the Service User involved to the best of their ability. Information will be presented to them in an accessible format to enable their participation.

Standard and Quality of care that you can expect.
U in Mind care endeavours to always provide high-quality care and support which is anchored on person-centred approach with an ethos of supporting the autonomy, independence, and mobility of its Service Users, wherever practicable. Each Service User’s perspective is at the core of our approach, and ensuring our staff are approachable and empathetic which helps us to deliver a personal, respectful, and dignified approach where the Service User feels empowered to take charge of their daily routine. Our staff are well trained, and appropriately vetted ensuring staff adhere to the policies and procedures expected of them whilst delivering care. We welcome CQC’s inspection as well as the inspections/audits performed by Suffolk County Council to verify the quality of our services. U in Mind Care has ensured its administrative, care, and training programmes are at the standard required by the Care Quality Commission and the Local Authority.

Staff Training
U In Mind Care Limited invests heavily in the induction, training, and development of all its staff. We have a reputable training institution that we work with which provides most of our mandatory online training for adult social care courses like Moving and Handling, Medication and Safeguarding among many others. As a company we are also providing additional specialist training through government funded apprenticeships in different programmes from NVQ (National Vocational Qualifications) Level 3 – 5. These comprehensive training programmes are aimed at empowering our staff to acquire vital skills in different areas. This training would also help our staff to develop best practice so that they can be able to nurture positive relationships with the people they support and their families and efficiently deliver our services.
